Spouse of Myanmar Ambassador attends ASEAN Ladies Circle (ALC) Executive Committee Meeting and Handover Ceremony (12-1-2026,New Delhi)

Mrs. Pwint Nwe Wai, spouse of the Myanmar Ambassador to India, attended the ALC Executive Committee Meeting and Handover Ceremony at the High Commission of Malaysia on 12th January 2026 at 10:00 hrs.

The meeting commenced with opening remarks from Mrs. Datin Najwa Zainal, spouse of the High Commissioner of Malaysia to India and the outgoing ALC Chair. She provided a comprehensive briefing on the ALC’s activities and presented the financial statements for her term, covering the period from July to December 2025.

Following the review, the formal handover of the ALC Chairmanship was conducted. Mrs. Datin Najwa Zainal handed over the ALC Chairmanship to Mrs. Pwint Nwe Wai, who will serve as Chair for the period of January to June 2026. In her new capacity as Chair, Mrs. Pwint Nwe Wai outlined the upcoming activities planned for her tenure.

The formal proceedings concluded with an ASEAN Family luncheon hosted by the High Commissioner of Malaysia, which was attended by Mrs. Pwint Nwe Wai and H.E. Mr. Zaw Oo, Ambassador of Myanmar to India.
