ASEAN-India Business Meet 2026 and Glory Excellence Awards Held at Myanmar Embassy, New Delhi (13 March 2026, New Delhi)

The ASEAN-India Business Meet 2026 and Glory Excellence Awards, jointly organized by the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, New Delhi, and the Maitry Peace Foundation, was held at the Myanmar Embassy on 13 March 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The event was graced by H.E. Mr. Ramdas Athawale, Honorable Minister of State for the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment of the Government of India, as the Guest of Honor. The ceremony was attended by approximately 200 participants, including diplomats from ASEAN member states and top business leaders from India.
The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by H.E. U Zaw Oo, Ambassador of Myanmar, and H.E. Mr. Ramdas Athawale. Following the opening, both the Ambassador and the Minister of State delivered opening remarks. During the ceremony, the Glory Excellence Awards were presented to outstanding entrepreneurs across various sectors in recognition of their achievements.
In the subsequent business discussion session, the Ambassador participated as a speaker and discussed in detail the importance of policy cooperation to facilitate trade between ASEAN and India, the expansion of new investment sectors, and the strengthening of regional economic connectivity. He also highlighted potential sectors and opportunities for cooperation specifically between Myanmar and India. Additionally, representatives from ASEAN nations shared and discussed the economic cooperation activities of their respective countries.
In addition, cultural entertainment programs were featured during the event to showcase friendship and heritage. These performances, which included traditional dances from both ASEAN and India, were met with great interest and appreciation from the attendees.
The ASEAN-India Business Meet 2026 was a successful event that strengthened networking among ASEAN and Indian business leaders and paved the way for future mutually beneficial collaborations.
