To facilitate the prompt acceptance and repatriation, in accordance with the procedures of the relevant country, of four (4) Burundi nationals who have entered and are staying illegally in Myawaddy Town, Kayin State, Myanmar, for various reasons and who have not yet been able to be handed over up to the present time, Ambassador U Zaw Oo visited the Embassy of the Republic of Burundi in New Delhi at 11:30 a.m. on 15 January 2026, where he met and held discussions with H.E. Major General Aloys Bizzindavyi, Ambassador of the Republic of Burundi. During the meeting, he urged the prompt acceptance of the four Burundi nationals and provided explanations on matters related to the repatriation procedures and the implementation of the handover process.
